Personal Life: Arjit Taneja is from Delhi and completed BA in computer programming at University of Delhi. His father is a lawyer and he has a elder sister. He joined India’s leading Modeling agency Elite Model Management Pvt. Ltd and started his modeling career. In mid 2012 he moved to Mumbai for his career and thus he is living in Mumbai now and made his television debut with The Serial on Channel V.

Career: After working as a model for sometime Arjit got his debut role and got quite nice recognition in the industry. Later he played a cameo in Bade Acche Lagte Hain on Sony TV which went off air now. Arjit is now playing the role of Purab in Kumkum Bhagya who is a protagonist and manager of Shabbir Ahluwalia. He was one of the participants in MTV Splits villa Season 6-Hot as Hell. Arjit made his presence felt on screen so much that he managed to make his fans though he was a newcomer in The serial as his co-stars were already popular in television industry like Karan Kundra, Sara Khan, Raj Singh Arora and others. On the 20th anniversary of his father Yash Johar’s passing, filmmaker Karan Joharshared a heartfelt note on Instagram, reflecting on the life lessons imparted by his late father. He recounted his biggest fear of losing a parent coming true when Yash Johar was diagnosed with a malignant tumor on August 2, 2003. Despite trying to stay positive, Karan’s instincts told him the gravity of the situation. Yash Johar passed away ten months later, leaving behind a legacy of love and goodwill that Karan and his mother continue to uphold.

In his emotional caption, Karan expressed pride in being the son of a man who valued relationships above all else and lamented that his father never got to meet his grandchildren. However, he finds solace in knowing that Yash Johar is watching over them.
