I was born on September 11, 1968, the third child and youngest of my two older brothers, Deepak and Jagdeep Madhok, my mother Mrs Deesh Ishrat Madhok was a teacher and my father Dr. Amrit Lal Ishrat Madhok was the professor of Persian language at Banaras Hindu University. My mother started her career as a teacher, and in 1972 she took the risk of opening her private school, the Sunbeam School. Today, the Sunbeam schools have over 50 branches throughout Eastern UP and are continually expanding thanks to the capable leadership of our three brothers.
