Christopher Wolfe is Distinguished Research Scholar in the Department of Politics at the University of Dallas, specializing in Constitutional Law and Legal Philosophy. He is the author of The Rise of Modern Judicial Review (1986) and Natural Law Liberalism (2006). He received his B.A. summa cum laude from the University of Notre Dame in 1971, and went on to obtain a Ph.D. in political philosophy at Boston College in 1978.  A secondary field of Chris’ interest has been religion and politics.  In 1989 he founded the American Public Philosophy Institute, whose purpose was to promote a natural law public philosophy in American life.

Chris also has a great interest in marriage, sexuality, and family life, and has written academic and popular pieces on these topics and given lectures (with his wife Anne) on them. Chris and Anne have been blessed with ten children, ranging in age from 48 down to 31, and now have ten grandchildren.

Christopher Mines Wolfe, 55, of New Market, Maryland, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 14, 2016, at his home surrounded by his wife and daughters following a brief illness. He is survived by his loving wife Kelly (Ceschin) Wolfe. They were to celebrate their 20th anniversary in August.

Born on December 6, 1960, in Camden, New Jersey he was the son of Edward L. Wolfe of New Jersey and the late Jean L. (Reeves) Wolfe.

Chris graduated from Pittman High School, New Jersey, Class of 1979, where he was a lettered athlete. He attended Oswego State University, New York, where he played collegiate basketball and graduated in 1983.

He began his teaching career with Charles County Public Schools for 17 years, and then with Frederick County Public Schools for the last 15 years. He most recently taught Technology Education at Linganore High School.

Chris was an avid sports fan and spent many years coaching basketball and golf at the college and high school levels. He also coached for LOUYAA for his daughters' teams.

He enjoyed golf, family trips to Myrtle Beach, gardening, woodworking, coaching, reading, and cheering for the Phillies and Eagles.
