Michael Lehmann Boddicker (born January 19, ) is an American film composer and session musician, specializing in electronic music. He is a three times National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (N.A.R.A.S.) Most Valuable Player "Synthesizer" and MVP Emeritus, he was awarded a Grammy as a songwriter for "Imagination" from Flashdance in [1] He is the president of The Lehmann Boddicker Group.[2]
Early life and education
[edit]Boddicker grew up in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.[4] His parents, Arlene Estelle (née Reyman) and Gerald "Jerry" Valentine Boddicker operated a music school and store in Cedar Rapids, which served students in all of Eastern Iowa.[2][5] • View More Videos + Process More Awards • Mike Boddicker played 14 seasons in the major leagues with the Baltimore Orioles, Boston Red Sox, Kansas City Royals and Milwaukee Brewers. Boddicker is a Cedar Rapids, Iowa native and got his start in professional baseball after being selected in the 6th round of the MLB First Year Player Draft by the Baltimore Orioles. After just two seasons in the minor leagues he made his MLB debut in Baltimore and went on to become a front line starter for the Orioles for nine seasons. In he earned his first All-Star selection while winning a career high 20 games and posting a sparkling ERA. That performance followed a season in which he posted a career low ERA and five shutouts in route to helping lead the Orioles to a World Series title. During that post season he was named the ALCS MVP.
